Gronau (Leine) is situated in Lower Saxony, to the south of Hannover.  The town has a population of about 10000.

Our most recent visit to Gronau took place in May 2018, when we celebrated 30 years of partnership with our twin town.  This included an exchange of gifts between the Mayor of Honiton and the Mayor of Gronau, followed by the formal signing of a charter to mark the 30th anniversary (see photograph.)

We are looking forward to receiving a return visit from our friends in Gronau during the summer of 2019

OUR TWIN TOWNS

Mezidon-Canon is a small town in Normandy.  It is less than an hour's drive from the coastal city of Caen.  It is situated in the Calvados region of Normandy and has a population of some 5000.

In 2013, members of Honiton Twinning Association travelled to Mezidon to celebrate the 40th anniversary of our partnership.  The photograph shows the planting of a tree to mark the occasion.
